Oh la la Designs first winter collection

In her debut to the world of fashion and lifestyle, Qatari fashion designer Fatima Al Khuzaei launched her first Abaya collection titled Velvet pearl. Branded Oh La La Designs, the new collection for winter 2013 featured a number of eye catching designs that were showed in Dress to Impress at the Gate recently, alongside a number of other Qatari creative designs.

The name Oh La La Designs was inspired from a French expression used as an exclamation of pleasurable surprise. It was selected for its broad popularity locally and globally, pleasant meaning, and connection with France and Paris which is often dubbed as fashion capital of the world.

Speaking on the occasion, Fatima Al Khuzaei said: “This brand will include more than one line, including one modern line to women from 15-35 age groups and another classic line to all age, in addition to Third line, she will announce it later.

“Every line has modern and classic features. Black fan logo was selected to express the luxury of the black Abaya. The assorted flower patterns express the aristocracy of the French lace fabric, one of the main materials used in the collection. The Vyunch at the end of the fan indicates the femininity used in the design”, she added.

Velvet Pearl collection features high class winter materials such as the black velvet, lace, leather and pearls. It combines the contemporary with the classic for a velvet pearl look in winter.
